Bio
Nathan Prince

I'm Nathan Prince, a creative director, designer, and director exploring the human condition through live, immersive experiences. I utilise light, moving image, sound, technology, and performance in my work.

My journey began in 1994 as a graphic designer, evolving into animation and film direction. Since 2001 I've collaborated with various artists, from Es Devlin to Damon Albarn and Brian Eno to David Lynch.

In 2004, I co-founded Silent Studios, a multi-sensory practice that has worked on groundbreaking projects with  Apple, Burberry, Google, MTV, Nike, Palace and Valentino. As the artistic director for Burberry World Live from 2011-2015, I led immersive digital experiences for the brand on a global scale.

In 2017, I co-founded res.lab, dedicated to exploring innovative forms of immersive audio for live installations, virtual and augmented realities. Since 2020 I've acted as the creative director for Damon Albarn's solo project, The Near The Fountain, and assumed the role of Associate Creative Director at the London Philharmonic Orchestra. There, I led the design and direction of 40 shows at the Royal Festival Hall and directed groundbreaking multi-camera films, pushing the boundaries of classical music within contemporary culture.

Throughout my career, I've held artist residencies at institutions like sketch gallery and The Eden Project. In 2022, the Barbican commissioned me to create Sonic Waterfall – an installation for their Our Time On Earth exhibition.
